Privacy notice
Here we explain what data we handle when you visit the site or book an AI check-up, why we do it and what your rights are.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Pasquale Silvestre, for the Telaio project. For any question, write to info@telaioconsulting.com.
2. What data we handle
- Browsing. The service that hosts the site, GitHub Pages, logs visitors' IP addresses for security. GitHub's documentation explains this.
- Visit analytics. With PostHog we count the pages viewed. If you accept analytics we also record clicks, loading times, the country and city derived from your IP address, an identifier stored in a cookie and, for one visit in five, a recording of how you use the page with form fields hidden. If you reject them we only count the pages viewed, with no cookies. The details are on the Cookies page.
- Cookie choices. For every choice you make on the cookie banner, a rejection too: the random code stored in your cc_cookie cookie, the categories accepted, the banner's version, whether it is your first choice or a change, and the time. No IP address and no data about your browser.
- Requesting the check-up. Your name, email, your phone number if you give it and the message you write in the site's form. We receive them by email and keep them in a Google spreadsheet, to get back to you and prepare the call.
- Email. The information you send us when you write to us.
3. Why we handle it, and on what basis
- To organise, prepare and hold the call, and to reply to your emails: steps you ask for before any agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the site secure: legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- For analytics with the cookie, clicks and visit recordings: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time from the «Cookie preferences» link at the bottom of every page.
- To count page views without cookies, including those of visitors who don't accept: legitimate interest in knowing how many people visit the site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Nothing is stored in your browser and the next day the count can no longer be linked back to you.
- To keep the record of your cookie choices: it is the proof of consent, which the GDPR obliges us to be able to show (GDPR Article 7(1) and Article 6(1)(c)).
4. Who handles it on our behalf
We rely on three outside services that handle data on our behalf: Google, to receive and keep the requests sent through the form and the record of cookie choices, for email and for the video call; GitHub, which hosts the site; PostHog, for visit analytics, with the data on its servers in the European Union. They may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards the GDPR requires.
5. How long we keep it
We keep data only for as long as the purposes above require. Visit analytics stay in PostHog for at most one year, visit recordings for one month. We keep the record of cookie choices for as long as we might have to prove them.
6. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict its use, to object to its processing or to receive it in a format you can take elsewhere. Just write to info@telaioconsulting.com.
If you think your data is being handled incorrectly, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
7. Automated decisions
We don't make decisions based solely on automated processing.
